Valerian

The garden of this cottage has part of it dedicated to wild red and pink valerian. Although these are technically 'weeds' I think they're beautiful.

A disappointing result for Andy Murray today, though he did so well to even get to the finals of the French Open. We had a day off from church today and Stuart spent the day doing gardening. He planted a lot of geraniums as well as clearing large areas of overgrowth. It looks great now.

What a beautiful day too! He and I sat in the garden in the early evening - not often you can do that in this country. I also got a big washing load dry outside, which doesn't happen often either.

Off to see my Dad tomorrow :-))
