The Hawthorn is fabulous...

...said no one, ever!! But this year, my goodness, it's beautiful and copious and fragrant and...

So I took a few blips and quite liked this one by the derelict barn. I never set out to appear stupid (it occasionally happens nonetheless) so I thought I'd Google Hawthorn first to get my facts straight. Shock horror, Google tells me that traditionally Hawthorn blossom is associated with death, if you've got some in your house you're done for, and the chemical responsible for its fragrance is the same as the first chemical formed in decaying animal flesh!! So there!!

Like I said, the Hawthorn is fabulous... said no one ever!
