Hewenden Viaduct

Opened in 1884, the Hewenden Viaduct comprises 17 arches, each 50 feet in span, and is 376 yards long.
At 123 feet high, it was the second tallest in England when built.
The last traffic to cross the viaduct did so in 1963.
Since 1985 it has been Grade II listed and is now part of the Great Northern Trail footpath.
