New Beginnings

Today, friends of ours moved to Germany. We shall miss them, but will definitely visit them once they have settled into their new lives.

There is a saying "every cloud..." and these friends needed to sell their car before they went, and we needed a new car. So one perfectly formed solution (for both of us), came into fruition this morning, when they dropped it off to us.

Very exciting, especially as our car was quite literally on it's last legs! I love driving this new one... very smooth and it's got more gadgets and gizmos than I know what to do with!

The timing of this is all very ironic of course, because this weekend the roads all around our house are closed due to an Olympic road cycling event! But there's always next week when I need to drive to Yorkshire. The open road beckons... in luxury for once!
