enjoying the sunshine

It's been hot today. Late morning, after a load of jobs around the house, I walked along to Waterhead and sat in the shade of a tree with the camera.

I took a number of photos of this couple but have chosen to post one that doesn't show their faces. Tried birds and boats too but kept coming back to this.

Home via the garden centre to see if I could find a birthday card for Jason ....... success. 

The rain that was forecast for the afternoon didn't come, though there was a bit of thunder around 4.30. More plant watering later i think.
