Voyage of a Beagle & Lab

Coco

It was the least she could do - pose nicely for Blip, and even that required D standing behind me holding a treat!! The beagle is in trouble again, I arrange a play date for her with boyfriend, Mac and while popping on the kettle in anticipation of his arrival - tea for K, not Mac, he's happy with a bonio, I glance out of the kitchen window and the little patio apple tree has no branches!! Just about to shout at her when she shoots past and stands whimpering at the kitchen door, Mac has arrived. Now if I was a stricter mum, I would have just told him she had been a very naughty girl and send him away, but no, I let him in and for the next hour a whirlwind circles my garden as they chase each other. Once Mac has left I potter about tidying and suddenly realise it's very quiet - pop outside and Coco has now up rooted what was left of the poor tree and is happily gnawing on it as though it was a large stick. It's just as well she's got those big brown eyes, floppy ears and perfect whiskers, not to mention lots and lots of cuddles for her mum or the word re-homing could be uttered in our house!
