Female widow skimmer

We are finally getting a few dragonflies about. I haven't seen many butterflies yet, but they will come. We are getting much warmer days and I was thinking this morning that is was about time I got into shorts for working in the garden.

Thank you so much to everybody for all the nice comments on yesterday's blip. It was a grand day and in the late afternoon, taking us quite by surprise, our daughter and her husband and granddaughter and husband and the three lads rolled up with an ice cream cake. They had lots of fun outside on a lovely summer evening. "The remains of the day" are seen in the extra ( taken last night, but it does't count as a blip!)
