Fish ladder...

...and weir on the River Breamish near Powburn. We did a short walk on the footpath there, mainly for Louie's benefit, on our way down to the antique shop at Hedgeley. MrM was hoping to buy some doors, to replace some not-very-nice doors in the flat but, unfortunately, the ones he'd wanted had been sold.

We didn't come away empty handed though! Spotted a game crown, rather lovely and very similar to the one we already own - it will no doubt feature in a future blip.

Back home to tackle a few essential weekend chores. It was a beautiful blue-sky day so, rather than spending more time indoors and cooking an evening meal, we packed a picnic which we ate in the Ingram Valley, sitting by the river in the sun. Lovely!
