My Dad started out tapping wheels and tracks and progressed to building a fe railway bridges before, well that's for another day. He never lost his love for trains.

He bought this single track key hoop not too many years before he died. By holding a key, or disk, for the signal box, it ensured that only one train could travel the track, as it was passed on manually as the train when by, tucked into this pouch.

My dad also like elegant solutions. This was one. It hangs to remind me that there are many ways to solve problems. The elegant one is often the best.

I'm not elegant but then, I'm not a problem. Honestly.
