Matchbox-sized camera
The tiny Mycro camera was manufactured in large numbers in Japan, dubbed a 'spy' camera, from 1939 onwards. This appears to be the last model (Mycro UNA IIIA subminiature) to be produced and was probably sold in 1953. It belonged to the late husband of a friend of ours.
I was surprised to find an exposed film inside and am now trying to find someone who might be able to develop it, in case there are any images from the dim and distant past.
I have used an old matchbox to stand it on, to give an idea of the size. It is complete with a leather ever-ready case and the roll of film (which seems to be 17.5mm and would probably have negatives 14x14mm.
I thought it would be a suitable Tiny Tuesday subject; stretching the theme - the camera has certainly weathered well!
