Little Red Hen

She was not going to be the star of the blip, but Ginger Rogers would not pose on the branch when she saw me approach with camera. Instead we have a very friendly rescued hen, who was rehomed to us from the British Hen Welfare Trust, a charity that takes unwanted ex battery and intensively farmed hens to provide them with a better life. We have had 15 hens from them and after a little break, they have started laying big eggs again.

The extra is Ginger Rogers who is the daughter of our matriarch Isabelle.
