Loch of the Lowes

Brilliant day out to the Loch of the Lowes to see the Ospreys you can see them live HERE!with Pam  -  everything was perfect. We took the scenic route there via Dunkeld.  When we parked in Dunkeld some people who had driven down from Inverness said the weather had been 27 degrees in some places.  In Dunkeld it was 22 degrees. Had a look round the gift shops in Dunkeld and had lunch at Howies Bistro.  Then we heard thunder - that was followed by lightening.  Loch of the Lowes is 5 miles out of Dunkeld and by the time we got there the storm was in full swing. The only good blip I got was this Swan swimming in the rain.  We took the fast way home via motorways. You wouldn't believe it but on the way home we experience the four Seasons over and over again.  By the time we got home he temperature had sunk to11 degrees!!  We kept saying: 'Oh look it hasn't rained here!'  Then, of course, it would bucket down!  A lovely day though  -  quite atmospheric with the best of Scottish landscape, nice company  -  and to end the show with panache -  lots of thunder and lightening!  Now to relax with a nice glass (or two) of red wine!
