Walkies

"What Mum? I definitely wasn't chasing that pigeon!"

Walkies was going well this evening as the forecast thunderstorm and downpours didn't happen (hope anyone affected by the areas that they did happen is OK by the way).

I say was going well  as a certain headstrong Labrador that knows her way home decided to make a run for it and escaped the footpath onto the main road before I could catch her. You can imagine how much my heart was racing! 

Maybe she could sense a storm a long way away but I'll have to put her back on lead sooner in future which is a shame as she loves doing her own thing. I'm (sort of) prepared that I'm losing her to cancer, I'm not at all prepared to lose her in a road accident.
