Mother Nature
I had quite an interesting day as I photographed first a Tiger Moth Queen Bee, a rare early drone, which flew over this morning and then I shot a Dakota with invasion stripes dodging what aviators call charlie bangers. I also got lots of shots of my darling fledgling wrens which have been coming right up to the back door. (Extras)
When it stopped raining after the thunderstorms I had a lovely wet walk down the field. I was so excited to find the above moth. As soon as I homed in on it I knew it was a Mother Shipton. I've never seen or photographed one before. It gets its name from the wing pattern which looks like a hook-nosed witch.
