Burnham Overy

Cheerio dad.

The family arrived from London and we sent the chaps and the kids off to the pub whilst we got lunch sorted. We somehow got 20 round the table and it has been as many years since I have seen some of them. After a very foggy morning (extras) the sun emerged as we set off from the Staithe as the tide came in at 5pm.
It was a stunning evening, a high tide covering the marsh.
Peter and Mel kindly took us all out on Maggie May, an old ship's lifeboat that we have all known well for many years.
Mel suggested a quiet area near the houseboats for the scattering but my brother and I favoured the turbulent, choppy waters of the harbour mouth which felt more fitting.
