Bird day for me - it was a beautiful day and we went to a place which should be brilliant for butterflies. Unfortunately it's being a rather odd year and the flowers are very late to come out, so there were few butterflies around, but it was a gorgeous day for a walk anyway!

Maisie went to doggy school - where she was aggressively guarding toys - this behaviour is very recent and needs nipping in the bud. I've been told how to tackle it, so fingers crossed (if I have any left by the end of the week ;-) )

No-one told me just how involved dog ownership can be! And expensive. And time consuming. And worrying. Maisie hadn't eaten all day, until she was finally persuaded to eat her breakfast at bedtime. I guess she just isn't feeling hungry because of the heat which she doesn't seem to enjoy very much.

Meanwhile in the garden the baby enjoys having so many foxes to play with! He seems to be the sole survivor so gets lots of attention.
