Spider on plastic pail

I went looking for something small - and there was a damsel fly flitting about.  I chased and chased but it kept launching away.  While I was stalking, I grabbed this shot of a spider on a plastic pail.  I was surprised when I looked at the imported photo - I'm really happy.

So I know this is not a true macro - but this is with my new lens that I am hoping to use with an extension tube to make macro photos.  I'm really pleased with the clarity of the lens.  I think when I actually do it right I might get photos that I am really pleased with.

Anyway - aren't his eyes cool?  and I think he has captured and ant.  That is good enough for me for a Tuesday evening blip grab.
