Sibling Rivalry
This morning I was trying to spot the baby Barred Owls that I plainly heard, but couldn't locate. All of a sudden there was a commotion at the feeder. Mom and dad Downy Woodpeckers were there with their two offspring. The kids, as kids are apt to do, got into a tussle. I pointed my lens over in that direction and snapped off a series of quick shots. I knew that they probably wouldn't be too clear considering the low light. Although I kept hearing their distinctly unusual calls...I never did spot the young owls, maybe tomorrow.
