Birthday Rose

I stood at the kitchen sink this morning and saw this beautiful rose in the garden. It is very special to me as when I was deciding what to put in the garden I decided on 3 rose bushes in memory of my husband Simon. This rose is called Claret so it's a lovely glass of wine. I actually put some of his ashes underneath it when I planted it too. The other 2 are in bud but have not opened.
I've had a lovely day with Bella, a walk to the shops then playing out in the garden. She enjoyed making footprints along the path from a bowl of water and asked ' where have they gone?' She had a quick lesson in evaporation! She's been really good and an absolute delight, I will miss her when she goes tomorrow.
