Pevensey Castle

Today my perambulations took me past this fine edifice. It was built to house the travelling contingent in our first foray into Europe, around 1066. This home leg didn't turn out too well for us. Hopefully we'll do better on their soil next week, I'm not over confident though. Hope Sir Wayne de Rooney gets his finger out this time.
