Solihull High Street
If you didn't like the modern architecture of the car park that I posted for yesterday's blip, then perhaps you will find today's easier on the eye.
We stopped on our way home from work this evening in Solihull to do some shopping in John Lewis. We wanted to get kitted out for our day at the Olympics next week. After shopping we strolled along the High Street, which has several attractive historic buildings.
In this shot you can see the building housing the East shop, which dates from 1571 and is Grade II listed.
Beyond that is the Manor House, built in approximately 1495 and also Grade II listed.
In the background there is the spire of St Alphege Church.
