Busy Day
The raspberry patch yielded a lot more than fruit this morning. Actually, the harvest has been pretty poor this year, but the wildlife is amazing. I started out looking at a nearly invisible moth, was distracted by a miniature grasshopper, then startled by a wasp-waisted wasp, and finally charmed by this furry skipper.
A couple hours of garden clean-up, followed by a pleasant trip to the Farmers' Market, and then we settled in front of the tv to watch our grandson run the 110 hurdles at the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon. He came in 9th in the semi-finals and set a personal best of 13.73, narrowly missing qualifying for the finals later this week. This guy is amazing, consistently improving his personal record every time he races.Track season is over for this year. Now we segue into football…
The extra is this morning's grasshopper. It was hard to choose.
