Ali Tribute #6: Spirituality

In his early 20's and fired up by the injustices he experienced around him at that time, Ali's trumpeted conversion to the Nation of Islam divided  onlookers very sharply indeed.

Some of his words at that time were undoubtedly inflammatory and in later years, his mellowed reflections took on a more inclusive tone, recognising that Spirituality can take a variety of forms. He now acknowledged that no one faith group or belief system has a monopoly on Spirituality.

The quote of his in today's blip reflects this more mellow Ali.  It also echoes thoughts expressed by other major religions:
"other sheep have I who are not of this fold . . ." (The Bible)
"One mountain, many paths . . ." (Buddhism)
