Settle Station
Tony and I were in danger of sleeping through Settle on the train this morning! We slept well after the long flight yesterday but could have done with a lie-in. We had a meeting to attend in relation to an orienteering event we are organising in a couple of weeks' time and that meant an early up and off. Thankfully, it was a fruitful meeting and, once completed, we took ourselves off to Ye Olde Naked Man Cafe for lunch and some rather fine chocolate eclairs.
Settle Station is in a wonderful elevated position with views from the platform across Giggleswick to the School's Chapel and to the Scar in the west, Pen-y-Gent to the north and the hills in which I've shadowed Duke of Edinburgh kids many-a-time to the east. We had some time to kill on the station so I took several blips before folks arrived for the train.
