Dainty duck
The last time I went to Blackford Pond I blipped a male mallard looking very handsome, but this time I spotted a female mallard and thought she was just as beautiful with the sun on her breast.
Things much the same today as at my last visit - nine cygnets, two coot nests being sat on, a moorhen going up a tree, a single little grebe in the shadows most of the time, just showing off its russet head in the sunlight briefly. No Canada geese today. You could do a Blackford Pond version of The Twelve Days of Christmas.
