The Work Commences...

Despite some overnight rain conditions in our backyard were suitable for some heavy machinery to move in early this morning. A local contracting company has started to prepare the grounds in readiness for tar-sealing. Some old shingle covered garden areas have been dug out and massive root systems from old tree stumps removed. The gang of workers were extremely efficient and good company as well. Unfortunately their working day was cut short this afternoon when a bout of very heavy rain set in. Some will be back tomorrow morning, weather permitting, and will work through until lunchtime. Fingers crossed for a fine day.
