First day of freedom.
Today is my first day of freedom. I finished the last of my exams yesterday - Classical Mechanics and Special Engineering. And it actually went rather well. This now means that, after 7 exams, I have finished my first year of university.
I keep thinking that it's gone really fast (which it has) but then I remember that with terms being very short and holidays being very short, I've only actually been at Warwick for 25 weeks which isn't really that long at all. And now I have 15 weeks of holiday and I don't know what I'm going to do with myself.
My friend, Tali, is at university at UCL and she hasn't been kicked out of her accommodation yet, so I figured that I would have a free weekend in London and stay with her. Today we went to see Swan Lake in the round at The Royal Albert Hall - and it was super. I always become so persuaded that I will one day be a part of something so amazing - and then I remember how awful I am at ballet and realise that it will be the music that I would be involved in (and then I remember I'm studying physics instead). Still, there's hope after I finish at Warwick that I'll be able to do a second degree at somewhere like The Royal College, but I'm honestly not sure that by the time I'm done with science I'll be in be right condition to be accepted. But that's a little way in the future so I'll worry about it later.
We also had a quick walk through the British Museum and then to the Science Museum (where I bought this really cool Star Wars picture book for my sister's birthday where the pictures move as you turn the page - it's really very clever). Tomorrow we plan to go to The Globe to watch the Taming of the Shrew, which I've never seen before. And then on Saturday it's my sister's birthday and we're going to The Shard for a drink. I am very excited.
Now, I have made it my goal to post an entry every day through the summer (or at least the days I do something interesting). We'll see if it will happen. It probably won't.
