Excursion no. 2

This was a more 'cultural' excursion called Historical Algarve.

We visited the old Moorish Capital, Silves with its steep cobbled streets & Castle.

Then to the Monchique Mountains, the highest point in the Algarve.

After lunch it was onto Cape St Vincent, the most southwesterly point of Europe & its lighthouse.

We concluded the tour in the old town of Lagos with the 1st indoor slave market in Europe and the beautiful St Anthony's golden church.

A great day. High today was 38°C!!
