River Walk and no steps counted!
New Boy was keen to get out this morning. It has been very hot again. I settled him into a wheelchair and off we went. (We overtook Mrs New Boy on the way into town) We followed signs for the River Walk and stopped for an iced coffee on the way home. My smart bracelet failed to record any steps. Grrr. I've decided that my arms need to swing to record steps as nothing accumulated when I took Connie out in a chair on Monday either.
Clive says I should wear it around my ankle but then I would look like someone out on Probation!
Scandalous Octogenarian had a folded clothes dryer by her front door. She said she was terrified during the night by a man attempting to get into the flat so the clothes dryer was providing a second barrier. I spoke to the warden who assured that the property is secure. I suspect S.O. had awoken from a dream but I listened to her concerns nonetheless.
Mrs W and I found a new tea room in Woodborough. Other patrons were talking about Polo matches with Plums in their mouths! Mrs W and I decided to adopt similar tones.
We drove there and back with the roof down and realised, on our return, that we missed heavy downpours all afternoon!
Clive is away tonight and I am making my almost 1 year old nephew, George, a "George from Peppa Pig" birthday cake. I baked the cake yesterday so will spend this evening decorating it.
Party tomorrow afternoon.
