Surprises at Scone

L, Helpet57 and I went to the pottery festival (AKA Potfest) at Scone Palace today.  I don't suppose the rain was a surprise, but it was rather unwelcome at that particular time.  The Alba Falconry display was a surprise and this European Eagle Owl with his piercing orange eyes was the star for me.  The other surprise was finding great clumps of rather wet looking Meconopsis Blue poppies in among all the azaelas and rhododendrons.

There was some beautiful pottery items ..... many too expensive for my pensioner's purse but I did buy a pottery bird feeder which I will blip sometime in the future when I have it in place.
