Gray Landscape
The weather was permitting of a walk to get lunch today, sun not blazing like a creme brulee torch on one's face. On the way back I passed this block of flats built for students. It used to be a field. The boulder on the left was part of the landscape before these flats were built, being the only thing jutting out of the earth on an otherwise green patch.
I wonder if my recent near obsessive need to surround myself with colours, especially green and yellow, is a reaction to the concrete gray landscape taking over my environment.
Woke up late this morning after a peculiar dream...I wanted to see the dream play out, but as dreams come, they go without a clear end. My (male) yoga teacher had his menses. And I had to go out to the nearest Seven Eleven under a local bank ATM to purchase his sanitary napkins. The GPS fails and so I drive around in what I think is the right direction, my sense of direction is nearly non-existent in my dreams too, and proceed to get lost by driving unto a field. A student's parent is hardly helpful when she tells me that the nearest Seven Eleven under the bank's ATM is much too far away and I'd be better off getting the pads from a supermarket. For some reason this is unacceptable to me because teacher said to buy it from a Seven Eleven under the bank ATM. I drive away looking for one.
