A view of Lake Murray

Lake Murray is a huge lake in my area but not on my regular traveling route.  I had to go this way today so I stopped in the little free parking area (they charge for parking in the main park) and took a few photos through the fence.  They do have a walking lane across the dam that is one and half mile long one way.  I have walked the dam before but only in really ideal weather as the heat on the pavement, the heat from passing vehicles and the noise is terrible and there is no shade.  But the lake is beautiful with a picnic and beach area to the right of this park and of course, boating and fishing are the number one recreation here.
