Grey Heron

We've been on holiday for the last couple of weeks and I've fallen behind with posting Blips (and keeping up with everyone's journals). Apologies as I try to catch up over the next few days.
Today we had a lovely walk along the River Tweed in Peebles and were rewarded with close views of this heron sitting in the trees by the river.
The sand martins were busy feeding on the insects over the river and feeding their young in their nests along the banks, but decent shots of them were beyond me!
