Wild carrot
A backblip for yesterday as we were travelling until very late. I found some delightful patches of wild vegetation at a motorway service station on the M6 toll road which looked like they had been deliberately created for wildlife value and which greatly enhanced the look of the place. Other service stations take note. The plants that caught my eye most and which were abundant on the site were these wild carrots (Daucus carota). Apologies for the mediocre quality of the picture but light was fading and my phone's camera doesn't excel in such conditions.
