Fading into old age

I'm not sure if it's possible to fade to a darker colour, but this is what this double trillium does.

The pristine white 'fades' to pink as the flowers age. Quite pretty, but less spectacular, I think.

Off on holiday to Skye and the Outer Hebrides this morning - it's been raining for the first time in ages! I won't be Blipping until I come home next Saturday.
