Wound twine round my makiwara post today. Had a hit with it. My knuckles are in need of conditioning - and there's an interesting subconscious reluctance to really strike with the left hand, which I think relates to a bit of discomfort on one the left knuckles, the cause of which I haven't been able to figure out.
