Friends
Our world is a sadder place today with the passing of our friend David Breakey. We will miss his cheery greetings, his conversation, his wry humour and his soft Scottish voice.
Coincidence can be a strange thing. Traveling in the car late this afternoon to visit friends for a weekend in the country M asked me to read her the final chapters of Anne of Green Gables. In this book the main character loses a man who has been like a parent to her. She explains how her friends can not share her grief in the same way as her 'mother' and her. It was an opportunity to speak again with C and M about their dear friends and how hard it is for any if us to know or share their pain.
