Wigan on tour 4
Friday evening we headed out of the city to escape the crowds heading here to watch Elton John perform at the showground. The main reason tho was to head over the Humber bridge to watch Wigan play against Hull KR.
It was a very damp evening but thankfully we was sat towards the back of a nicely covered stand. Its a fairly simple ground see extra panoramic shot with a hostile atmosphere at times when the home fans are in full voice.
The game was a bit of a scrappy game at times with quite a few errors. We took an early lead with a couple of unconverted tries. We then let them into the game and we was trailing with a couple of minutes to go, When Sam Tomkins weaved his way through to make the scores equal and thankfully Matty Smith converted to give us a 20 - 18 victory.
posted this late as we didn't get home till late and was in work this morning
