Trooping the colour

This photograph hangs on the borderline of subjective/ objective.  It is expressionistic and abstract. It  embraces a moment in time during the ‘trooping of the colour’ by the ‘Coldstream Guards’ at Horseguards parade in London today. It is representative  of the Queen’s official ninetieth birthday and also of the protocol that surrounds the military movements of the day.
