After the Rain

Typical.  It was warm and dry when I hung the washing out and then headed out shopping.  There was an ultra-fine (i.e. nothing to head inside for) mist/drizzle about while I had coffee and wandered round the supermarket. However, as I headed the few miles home the roads got wetter and wetter; sure enough, my immediate locality had been subject to a downpour and my clothes were dripping again!

Having sorted the washing out again, I took the camera for a walk around the garden. I inherited this standard rose with the house, which makes it well over 20 years old, but it flowers reliably every year, and the scent is to die for, while today's rain has embelished it with glistening drops of water.
