The Finished Sycamore Bowl.

    As you will have gathered, I have been in the workshop today and completed the commission on the bowl that I was asked to make.
   The wood is Sycamore, measures 10" diameter and is 2.5" deep.
The outside of the bowl has been slightly textured, sealed, sanded and polished. The inside of the bowl has been sanded down to a smooth surface revealing the grain and prepared with food safe oil so it can be used as a fruit or salad bowl. 

I have included in the extras an action shot of me actually turning the wood out to form the inside of the bowl. I started all this, this morning, so as you can see I have been busy.
