Annat

Found some good weather despite the forecast and enjoyed a decent walk above the loch. This newly emerged GoldenRinged Dragonfly was buzzing around, although the ground is very dry and many burns dried up completely. Saw a Common Blue butterfly. Descending through the woods, was surprised as a flock of newly fledged wrens and one adult burst out of the undergrowth all around! This was the only one I could capture. They still had their soft, baby beaks.
A Sandpiper sat on the rock on the shore as I sat having a picnic.
