Foxglove

We've had a doing day at home today.

This has been a year of fairly major change for our garden - things were overgrown or looking old and unhappy, things needed maintenance, things needed a major re-think.

Our front and back garden are quite small, it's amazing how much work it all involves. And with us both working, not enough time

We've not planted anything in pots yet, and no hanging baskets. But today we collected 3 baskets which had been re-filled at a local nursery (we needed help), got some plants for tubs, and continues the reconstruction process. All between some spells of torrential rain. 

I'm watching my back, which was aching this morning when I woke up - maybe it was anticipating what I would be doing today.

This fox glove is self seeded, and is a surprise. It's looking good - one of my favourite summer flowers.
