Urban Swan

This nest is in a rather insalubrious part of the Hogsmill River in Kingston - see extra photo. I can't help feeling that the eggs will hatch any time now as this Pen has been on her nest for weeks now.I watched her for about twenty minutes this morning during which time she twice lifted herself up a bit and turned the eggs before settling down again, pulling twigs and, I'm sorry to say, rubbish into the nest around her. I will keep an eye on her now!
