Happy happies
I haven't seen these four in a while. Mandi is a midwife, and a superb woman's woman. I wouldn't call her a feminist, she is so much more than that. She occupies her body with enviable confidence and grace, and is happy to support and encourage any woman who needs a helping hand along her path.
I taught Will (husband/dad) while he pursued his landscape architecture degree; he was one of the most hard-working and focused people I've ever met. It didn't hurt that he was 35 in a class of 22 year-olds, and the only one with a family. His designs were always well-thought out, sustainable to the max, and turned in on time. He didn't pull "all-nighters" as he had to be done with his projects before he went to work as a barman in one of the local establishments. Crazy hours (he closed on nights he worked, at 2:00 am), but good money. After graduation, he continued to bartend in a newly-opened classy joint downtown. Won some mixology awards, even! Once a creative - always a creative, no matter what the medium.
And the kids are just amazing. Kind, adventurous, fierce readers (well, not the youngest one quite yet). Love all 5 of them to bits.
