History

This past week the Manchester Histories Festival has brought together lots of talks, walks and other events. I went to the celebration day at the Town Hall, with loads of stalls about different people and places in and around the city. The photos is of an exhibit from the Greater Manchester Fire Service Museum and other small museums represented included the Museum of Medicine and Health and the Fairfield Museum in Droylsden. I'd never heard of the latter, it's part of an old Moravian settlement from the 18th century so might be worth a trip out.
