Ear Fail

On our drive down to see Mr. Badger's Mom in the hospital, we hit a lot of stopped traffic. Corra decided she'd get the best view from the shelf by the rear window. Her ears do not fit in their upright position :3

We had a really nice visit with Mr. Badger's Mom. She was in surprisingly good spirits and was very chatty. We showed her pictures of Mason and our dogs. We brought her some flowers and crafty magazine to hopefully help get her through some of the boredom of sitting around in a hospital room. She's going into surgery sometime around 3:30pm on Friday. Fingers crossed that all goes well. It was really nice to see her first and let her know we are supporting her.

We didn't get home until around midnight. On the back step of our building there was a big, fat toad enjoying the rain. Corra was wiggling all around avoiding getting too close, I think remembering her past encounters ;) Loki on the other hand was interested and sniffed him, but wasn't dumb enough to try and pick him up! He'd instead back up and slap the stoop with his paw and give a little woof :3 So cute! I got some pictures, but they weren't very good (like ISO 4000 to even get anything, and even then the shutter was firing at only 1/15 second in the very poor light). At one point the toad hopped into Corra's side and she fell backwards off the stoop in surprise. Hah! Serves her right :D
