Daylily

Don't ask me which daylily this is! There are so many today and although when I have bought them, I have dutifully labeled them in the garden, the labels disappear like magic. Anyway, this opened this morning, early. We are just beginning to get the daylilies. They make a good show when it is hot, but true to their name, only last a day, but there are always many more to come.

In the extra is a male bluebird bringing home  the breakfast. The female had gone inside to feed and he was waiting his turn. She was so long coming out that he ate the offering himself. It looks like a tiny caterpillar of some sort. You can just see a little green head.
