Orlando

Strangely I did an entry only a couple of days ago about the Anders Breivik slaughter in Norway in 2011. Today the death toll of the nightclub massacre in Orlando has just kept rising. At the time of writing this it was 50 dead and 53 injured with an expectation of more fatalities.

One of the guns used was the AR-15 assault rifle. Apparently it would have only needed one change of magazine to achieve the carnage inflicted on the innocent 'Latino night' revellers at the gay night club.

We took  a walk around the circuit in the fog and I took the picture of the cliffs. (I've superimposed an AR-15 onto the photo in this extra).

I thought this Buzzfeed piece was a useful reminder of the 'complexities' of gun control in the US.
