Happy

Having such a good day!!!

for part of it, I was out for a walk with Jess in a place which always makes me inexplicably happy. Everything here seems right - the old oaks, sandy path, flat stones just right for skimming, dark river pools with fish jumping up for flies, all kinds of birds and flowers and all of it to ourselves on this lovely warm afternoon. My great grandfather grew up just a stone's throw from here and I like to think he walked here often and that it has changed very little in the last 150 years. Whenever I'm here, I'm right at peace with the world.
